• [SUFFRAGIST HANDBILLS] Women and men had to be convinced of the need for a constitutional amendment to provide women the right to vote. Women often gave out handbills as they marched, spoke, and petitioned. We researched these and selected two “Twelve Reasons Why Women Should Vote” and “Woman are Citizens”. 12 of each are included.

Suffragists often carried hand signs with the words VOTES FOR WOMEN. We researched these signs using historic photographs and created a 6 by 9 inch sign using the same font, printed it on sturdy, gloss paper. We also researched the many handbills that suffragettes handed out and chose 2 of these Twelve Reasons Why Women Should Vote and Women Are Citizens. We include 12 of each handbill. Great for parties and for educational events.
